Take Command and Conquer Your Home Entertainment System With Denon AVR-3312CI

These days, there are probably dozens of tech gadgets in our possession. Smart phones, the home PC, MP3 players, audio systems, tablet devices, advanced HD TVs, game consoles, the list goes on and on and on. Yes, these things make our lives convenient, but with the sheer amount of tech we have, it’s easy to just go insane trying to control these things and order them to do what we want. It’s as if our gadgets control us, instead of the other way around! Because of this, as crazy as it sounds, sometimes it’d be awesome to be one of the “Borg” from Star Trek and have one universal remote interfaced to our brains, to take control of our gadgets all at the same time.

AVR-3312CI

Sadly, we here at Denon can’t turn you into a cybernetic organism that can connect to your gadgets (or… can we…?) Fortunately, we can give you the next best thing. Absolute total control of your home entertainment system, via the IN-Command series’ top of the line receiver, the AVR-3312CI. With this advanced piece of equipment, your rowdy home entertainment gadgets won’t stand a chance, and once the AVR-3312CI has assimilated every last member of your home network, you can finally stand tall, look them in the eye, and say… “Resistance is futile.”

Okay, that’s a really corny thing to say. What’s not corny though is the sheer control over your home-entertainment system that the AVR-3312CI will put right at your fingertips. But before we get to that, let’s first see what the AVR-3312CI has “under the hood”, so to speak.

The AVR-3312CI has 7 HDMI v.1.4a inputs, Parallel Dual Outputs, and the latest audio decoders like the Dolby Pro Logic IIz which is capable of expanding your home theater’s front stage to include two extra front height channels. Audyssey DSX processing adds a height component as well, but it also has the option of front width channels that can be expanded to deliver audio to 7 or 9 speakers. Audyssey Dynamic Volume and EQ, and 3D pass-through technology that makes it 3D compliant for 3D Blu-ray disc players (Check out our 3D capable Blu-ray player, the DBP-2012UDCI!) Whew! And that’s just the tip of the iceberg too, there’re a lot more audio and video tech details that’ll probably end up filling the screen if they were listed here. So let’s move instead to what makes the AVR-3312CI, and the rest of the IN-Command series, truly ahead of the pack.

Full. Control.

Borg references aside, the AVR-3312CI can truly connect and interface with your other home entertainment gadgets. And by controlling the AVR-3312CI, you can take full control of everything else, quickly, easily, conveniently. Your AVR-3312CI can connect to your iPod, iPhone, home PC, other Denon devices, portable storage devices, game consoles, and home network systems, and will give you access to all of these without having to actually manipulate them individually. Let’s expound, shall we?

The AVR-3312CI can easily give you audio and video entertainment and play them over your speakers, TV, or send them to other networked Denon devices. By connecting with your home PC, iPod, and iPhone, the AVR-3312CI can access the music files you have in store. If those audio files aren’t enough to satisfy all your audio needs, the AVR-3312CI can access the internet and get thousands of internet radio stations, Rhapsody, Pandora, and Napster.

But what about videos and photos? Well for starters, the AVR-3312CI is capable of delivering advanced video entertainment thanks to its 3D capability!

Now, this is where the “Borg” idea comes into play, though “assimilation” is not the word used. (it is such a scary word when used in this context, anyway) What the AVR-3312CI has, instead, is what’s known as “Party Mode Plus.” Now doesn’t that sound more appealing? Despite the difference in name, what it does is quite similar to our Star Trek reference. Via the Party Mode Plus feature, the AVR-3312CI can send “its thoughts” (aka, orders and control) to other members “of the race” (aka, other Denon devices), effectively creating a “collective” (aka, a mega-network. Okay, Borg reference stops here, we promise) that can play internet radio and other digital media content from the other media devices.

All of these things make it seem that while the AVR-3312CI easily takes collective control over other digital devices, it is still a difficult beast to control in itself. But this isn’t the case! In fact, your smart phone can tame this monster of a receiver (and we mean that in a very good way) from anywhere in the home, easily, using the Denon Remote App. With Apple AirPlay, your iOS devices can easily send content to the AVR-3312CI, and again add more control, by giving you the capability to select the song, stream the album art, and have full playback options. And with the RS-232 compatibility, the AVR-3312CI can also be part of comprehensive home automation systems like the Control 4, AMX, and Creston, providing you with full control over your home-entertainment system.

You’d think that a device capable of doing all of these things would require advanced 23rd century know-how to install. But that couldn’t be farther from the truth. This is because with Denon’s all new setup wizard, and the Audyssey MultEQ XT speaker auto correcting and auto calibrating system, virtually anyone can take the AVR-3312CI out of the box, and install everything that’s needed quick and easy!

The next time your home entertainment system acts up and doesn’t do what you tell it to do, show it who’s boss by getting the AVR-3312CI. Conquer your home entertainment, soon!
